Whether your child is remote or in the school building, brain breaks are essential. We can not operate like the energizer bunny and neither can the children. Nor should they be expected to. Include brain breaks/recess; a brief time set aside that allows them time away from their educational or virtual learning activities. Also, Include “relax time” or nap time for the younger ones. Never negate the power of a nap or quiet time no matter how young or how old. It gives everyone some quiet time to debrief from everything that is going on which definitely can be a lot especially if you are in the house all day.
